Chain plates

Calculator

Calculate plate quantities by strand count, chain length in pitches and number of chains.

Chain parameters

01 / Input

Enter a chain model, select the plates and specify the chain parameters.

Connecting / offset link requirementEnter valid parameters to determine the required connecting or offset link.

For standard roller chains with 1–3 strands and at least 3 pitches per chain.

Plate quantities

Not yet calculated

Enter the chain parameters to calculate plate quantities.

Total weight (kg)—
Plate weight per chain (kg/chain)—

Estimated weight of the selected chain plates only.

Weights are displayed to three decimal places; calculations use the original plate weights.

Calculation notes

Chain length includes the connecting or offset link

A chain with an even number of pitches uses one connecting link assembly. A chain with an odd number of pitches uses one offset link assembly, with no additional connecting link.

Deduct complete link assemblies

Plates contained in complete connecting or offset link assemblies are deducted to avoid double counting.

Intermediate plates follow the product configuration

A selected intermediate plate with the -3H type uses one plate between adjacent strands. All other intermediate plate types use two.

Weight covers plates only

Connecting and offset link assemblies, pins, bushes, rollers and other components are excluded, as are production losses and stock allowances. No prices are calculated.

Scope

For standard simplex and multi-strand roller chains. Quantities for leaf chains and special attachments require separate confirmation. Selected plates must meet the actual assembly requirements. Calculation results do not confirm manufacturing capability or constitute a commitment to supply.
